International Roundtable on Community Paramedicine

Call for Presentations

 

We are asking those individuals interested in presenting at the IRCP Annual Conference to respond to our Call for Presentations.

 

The International Roundtable on Community Paramedicine (IRCP) is hosted by the National EMS Management Association and will be held September 15-17, 2022, and is co-located with the Florida State EMS meetings and the Florida ClinCon conference. Approximately two hundred paramedics; educators; community paramedics;  and paramedic service administrators, chiefs, executive directors and others typically from Australia, Canada, New Zealand, the United Kingdom and the United States attend. If you wish to assist the IRCP and the industry by participating as a presenter for our event you are invited to submit a proposal.

 

Additional information and a preliminary program will be posted on our website at www.ircp.info after proposals are accepted.

 

Format of Session:

Sessions for our annual meeting are 15 - 60 minutes including Q&A. We are accepting single speaker presentations as well as panel discussions. Sessions are classroom style. Applicants may have more than one submission for any type of session.

 

Proposal Instructions:

Please be advised that participation as a presenter is strictly on a voluntary basis. IRCP is unable to directly support travel expenses to its speakers. All speakers will be featured in the Conference Program. Speakers are required to register for the conference, our registration fees cover provided meals and breaks.

 

The following are general topics to be addressed at our conference, but all other relevant subject areas are welcome:

  • The past, present and future of paramedic services

  • Value of community paramedicine programs

  • Lessons learned

  • Innovations

  • Urgent /Emergency/Unscheduled Care – where do Paramedics achieve the most?

  • Hospital at Home

  • Clinic or ER at home

  • New Technology - including telemedicine and telehealth applications

  • Community paramedicine programs: development, implementation, evaluation and results

  • Achieving the "triple aim" of improving the patient experience, improving the health of populations and reducing the per capita cost of healthcare

  • Government relations & finance

  • Navigators: Implementing innovation such as dispatch or on-site diversion to the right care the first time

  • Volunteers and volunteering - achievements, challenges and the future

 

To submit your paper/presentation proposal:

 

Your proposal will be submitted electronically. Please make sure you have all the files necessary to upload ready before beginning.

 

Submissions must be received by August 1 and proposers will be notified by August 15, 2022.

 

Information to be included in your proposal & submission format:

  • You will type in text including your name, title, organization affiliation, postal address, telephone number, and e-mail address

  • You will type in the text of your proposed presentation title

  • You will type in the text for up to a 250 word narrative description of the proposed presentation

  • You will UPLOAD the following files:

  • Abstract file to be saved with the filename being the session title, in either the .doc, .docx or .pdf file formats.

  • A .jpg, .jpeg, or .png format headshot photo of each (up to 4) proposed presenter(s) in your submission

  • Curriculum vitae for each proposed presenter, in either the .doc, .docx or .pdf file formats

        • Click the submit button to send your submission. You will be redirected to register for the conference and receive the hotel room block link. You will receive a confirmation of your submission email.
